The Quality Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) initiative at SF State was established in 2013, in coordination with the California State University to provide a framework to support faculty in self and peer analysis of effective blended and online course design. The QOLT initiative is centered around an evaluation instrument containing 10 sections and 58 objectives that is used to evaluate and inform the quality of course design and teaching strategies.
At SF State University we've cultivated a community of practice dedicated to quality online learning and teaching. This QOLT community includes the QOLT Ambassadors program, QOLT Cohort mentoring and professional development series, and QOLT Certification process.
